Deep Ellum Studio Now Open

Imani Black Studios has expanded into a dedicated creative space in Deep Ellum, creating a home for exhibitions, creative direction, and cultural programming.

Built from years of involvement in the local creative community, the studio serves as a space for visual storytelling, collaborative projects, and thoughtfully curated experiences that bring together artists, brands, and audiences through art.

SXSW: Official Photo Crew

This year, I joined the official SXSW photo crew, where I documented sessions across one of the world’s most influential festivals. I captured a range of programming, including workshops, panels, concerts, and keynote talks featuring globally recognized talent. SXSW brings together creatives and industry leaders from around the world, and I contributed to documenting the scale and energy of the festival.

New Case Study

In April 2025, I launched my largest exhibition to date, Cyber Dallas, inspired by Imani’s Cyber Fantasy and centered on digi-tech, futurism, and cultural storytelling.

This case study outlines the creative, curatorial, and logistical work behind the exhibition, including fashion photography, runway logistics, art placement, and production strategy.

In November 2024, I was recognized as an influential leader in the arts through the inaugural Deep Ellum People campaign, presented by the Deep Ellum Community Association.

The campaign celebrated leaders shaping Dallas’ historic arts and entertainment district.

As part of the recognition, I was featured on a large-scale public banner and A-frame displays in the Deep Ellum neighborhood.

The banner installation ran from November 2024 through March 2025.
